About Resource Pack Detection

Resource packs distributed on Modrinth are identified by their file hash — the same method used for mods and shaders. Popular packs like Faithful, Xali's Enchanted Books, Fresh Animations, and many others are available on Modrinth and will be detected automatically.

Resource packs not published on Modrinth will be flagged as unrecognised and included in your output ZIP unchanged. They'll still work in-game — they just can't be auto-updated.
